I want to be your guide to the world of tea. To get to know the drink I fell in love with years ago and still haven’t let go. For tea, my partner and I traveled to Asia, drank our way through Czech teahouses and attended festivals. This website is the result.
Our tea travels(see Travelogues section) can be an inspiration, itinerary or a light sketch of what tea culture is like abroad.
Tea is incredibly complex, and not just the real stuff like Camellia sinensis, but also the herbal stuff. So the aim of this site is to introduce you to tea in its full breadth, though our main love will always be the tea plant itself…
So the site includes notes from our travels, but also accompanying materials about the preparation of specific teas, their production. There are also wordbooks to help you navigate this unconventional world.
