From the tea plantation to the cup – harvesting the Phoenix

We couldn’t resist – to live under a tea plantation and not go and try to pluck it, have it processed and then taste our work? That would be sacrilege.

Enjoy the view of these plantations…

In the end, we only drank “maochu” or unbaked oolong, which still needs to be finished by baking. Unfortunately, due to our departure to Fenghuang (then back to Chaozhao and then via Xiamen to the Wui Mountains for rock oolongs), we didn’t make it = mainly there was no charcoal for the “grate”.
