Yellow tea

Yellow tea has been a mystery to many tea lovers and researchers – its colour does not correspond to the basic division between white, green, black, …

It wasn’t until the curious tea lovers of the Good Tea Factory discovered that this was the name of the best tea of the year in all of China, which belonged only to the court of the emperor himself. The imperial colour is yellow, which is why this tea retains the nickname yellow.

This is also why it holds a high value among tea drinkers – but nowadays many other teas are referred to as such, so the original idea of “imperial tea” has faded into the past.
